NCIS Fic: Tonguing a Guy

Title: Tonguing a Guy
Author: Tayla
Fandom: NCIS
Pairing: Gibbs/DiNozzo preslash

Feedback: Yes, please. All constructive criticism will be graciously accepted
Disclaimers: NCIS belongs to Bellasario and CBS broadcasting company. The author makes no profit and no infringement is intended.
Authors Notes: This is my first NCIS story (like I needed another fandom to write in). This little thing has been floating around in my head since the first time I saw “Dead Man Talking” last spring, and since that epi has been on three times since then, the plot bunny just wouldn’t die. This was the first episode (that I remember anyway) where Tony's skirtchasing attitude really annoyed me. Probably because it put a fellow agent in danger.
Summary: Gibbs takes Tony to task for his actions during 1x19 Dead Man Talking
Warnings:

"Reminds me of 'The Crying Game'." Abby said with a sly sideways look at DiNozzo.

McGee frowned. "Don't know it."

"It was such a cool flick."

Tony flinched. "Abby, could you pick some other movie, please?"

Abby looked thoughtful. "Oh, uhm. . . 'Victor/Victoria'?"

"That was a girl pretending to be a guy pretending to be a girl?"

"Right."

"Yeah. That one's okay."

McGee steered the conversation back to the case at hand. "Gotta hand it to Commander Voss. For three years he hid in plain sight as a woman."

"Well, he wasn't a woman yet. Surgery was scheduled for next month in Bangkok," Kate put in.

"Getting your plumbing turned inside out...that's so..." Abby couldn't quite find the words.

"Hinky." McGee finished for her.

"No," Abby disagreed. "No, its way beyond hinky, it's, um..."

"Speaking of way beyond hinky," Kate looked pointedly at DiNozzo. "Tony?"

Kate was looking at him with an evil glint in her eye. Tony had been hoping that the other conversation would distract Kate from ribbing him, but no such luck. "Okay, all right, give it to me, Kate, I can take it."

"What was it like, tonguing a guy?"

Tony cringed, remembering quite well how it was to have that…that…person's tongue in his mouth. "Forget it, I can't take it." He escaped into the stairwell, taking the steps two at a time, anxious to get home. He was considering going out clubbing tonight and picking up a real woman to try and erase the memories of Amanda Reed, Voss, whatever, from his brain.

Gibbs caught up with him in the deserted stairwell.

“DiNozzo, I want to talk to you.”

“Can’t this wait, boss? I kinda want to get home and have a shower and brush my teeth for an hour or two.”

“Don’t you think you’re overreacting a bit?”

“She…he…it was a guy, Gibbs. A man had his tongue in my mouth.” Tony shuddered. “But I appreciate you trying to make me feel better about it.”

Gibbs scowled at him. “Make you feel better? Do I look like the kind of guy that would go in for that hand-holding crap, DiNozzo?”

“Oh. Then what did you want to talk to me about, boss?”

“McGee.”

“Aw, don’t be too hard on the kid, boss. He didn’t do too badly for his first time out.”

Gibbs stared at DiNozzo incredulously. “Not too badly? McGee didn't do anything wrong. McGee is very good at what he does, the technical computer stuff. And he has the potential to be a good field agent. If he gets the right training and if his partner doesn't get him killed first."

At Tony's puzzled look, Gibbs continued.

"DiNozzo, I want to know just what the hell you were thinking. I specifically told you 'No contact with the subject.' You disobeyed that order, and you left McGee alone on his first stake out and made contact with her anyway."

"'Him', boss. It was a 'him'."

"That's not the point, DiNozzo. You took an inexperienced agent into a dangerous situation for no good reason. You let that woman get you onto her turf."

"'Man', Gibbs. It was a 'man'."

Gibbs continued, bulling his way through Tony's protest.

"A bar, DiNozzo. A public place with lots of civilians and McGee right in the middle of it."

"It seemed like a good idea at the time."

"Okay, explain to me just why you felt the need to blow your cover and confront Voss, in enemy territory, before your backup could arrive, allowing yourself and McGee to be subdued and putting me in the position of having to shoot her."

"Haven't you been listening, boss? Not her, him. It was a man. And he was kissing me--"

Gibbs had finally had enough. He put both hands on Tony's chest and shoved him into the wall. Tony gasped at Gibbs' unexpected roughness, which made it easy for Gibbs to get his tongue into Tony's mouth when he kissed him.

Tony was stunned into immobility. Gibbs was kissing him. Lips warm and soft against his, wet tongue flicking in and out of his mouth, hands on his shoulders holding him upright, and a leg…god…Gibbs had one leg between his, a hard muscled thigh pressed up against his--

Abruptly Gibbs broke the kiss and stepped back, leaving Tony to try and keep his balance.

"Well?" the older man asked.

Tony blinked at him.

"You just got kissed by a man. The sky didn't fall, the world didn't stop spinning and you didn't burst into flames."

Tony still had no comment, but he did raise his hand to touch his bruised lips.

Gibbs gave an exasperated sigh. "Tell you what, Tony. You think about it this week while you're at home."

Tony found his voice. "Week at home?"

"You're suspended. One week without pay. For disobeying a direct order and failing to protect a junior agent."

With that Gibbs stalked back up the stairs.

Tony stared after his boss, trying to gather his scattered wits.

It was only after the stairwell door had clanged shut behind Gibbs' retreating form that Tony realized he was hard.
